She married her husband there in 2010 and then spent several years as a Deputy Church Warden before becoming Church Warden in 2017. She loves carrying out God's work by ensuring that everything is in place to facilitate the smooth running of our worship and by being a friendly face to regulars and newcomers alike.

What to expect at All Saints'

What we believe.

We are a Christian congregation serving the Sandon community and encouraging others through a life-changing Christian journey.
We seek to serve God by working for justice and peace, respect and learn from all the great faith traditions, and desire to be known by the love we have for one another.

You are guaranteed a warm welcome at All Saints'.

We have a member of our P.C.C. who is our regular meet and greeter
and will answer any questions you may have.
There is always a welcoming buzz - we often have to shut people up in order to start the service!
After each service we invite you to join us for coffee, tea or squash and plenty of lovely biscuits, all free of charge.
We are proud to be a Free Trades Church. This is a popular time for people to have a good natter - people are not in a rush to leave.

Facilities at All Saints'.

We have a modern, disability friendly toilet which also has a baby changing facility.
Children are very welcome at all of our services - and they don't have to sit quitely and be still all the time.
We have a big bag of toys and books to suit a range of ages AND on the first Sunday of each month our children's lead, Annie, provides a craft session during the service. Each child gets to take home their work along with a special children's prayer.
There is ample car parking on the grassed area around the church. A path leads from the car park to the main door of the church, but we do have a wheelchair should anyone need it. While there are steps into the porch, and from the porch into the church, ramps are available for those that need them and there is plenty of room in church to leave wheelchairs, walkers and crutches.
There is a recently installed audio system with hearing loop facility.

Services at All Saints'.

There is a service each Sunday at 11-15am. They are services of Holy Communion except for the third Sunday in each month which is Morning Worship. Each service lasts for approximately one hour. Everyone is welcome to sit wherever they wish. A collection is made when the offertory plate is taken round during the third hymn (Communion) or the fourth hymn (Matins). Regular members of our congregation use our weekly Blue Envelope Gift Aid Scheme or donate by standing order. Some simply put cash on the plate while tax payers can use our Gift Aid white envelopes found, with pens, on each row of pews.           To see our services in detail please click this link.

Weddings at All Saints'.

Weddings are a very special occasion at All Saints', and we work closely with Sandon Hall when wedding couples have their reception there. For all the information you may need, please visit our church website on                            www.sandonchurch.org.uk

Baptism at All Saints'.

Baptisms are conducted as part of our regular Sunday services. We are always delighted to have babies welcomed into God's family at All Saints', and especially so when couples that have been married at our church bring their babies to be baptised. Visiting children are always offered the opportunity to make a baptism card for the baby, and we provide baptism candles and certificates for the parents and godparents too.

Funerals.

At All Saints' we understand how distressing a bereavement is so we do all we can to support families in planning the service they want for their loved one. A Churchwarden is always on hand to discuss plans and offer advice as well as attending the service to ensure it runs smoothly on the day.
We have an open graveyard, and there are spaces by request which may be made to our Team Vicar.
Enquiries can be made through the church wardens.

Our work in the community.

We have a very active fundraising committee which organises lots of events including concerts, guided walks and talks.
We have a good relationship with Sandon Parish Rooms which keep a place on its committee for a church representative.
We use the rooms for our P.C.C. meetings and some of our fundraising events. We are also very fortunate to be sited on the Sandon Estate and are very well supported by the Earl of Harrowby and Sandon Hall. We hold regular concerts at the Hall which means members of the public can see this wonderful building as well as enjoying first class music and singing. We work together on our weddings where couples marry in church and have their reception at the Hall.
